i understand that deviantart aint the louvre but seriously, some of the crap that's made it up as DDs lately is downright atrocious, and shits on the rare talent at DA by making the site look like amateur hour. is there nobody on the daily deviation selection squad with the slightest sense of what makes for good photography? are they really willing to put any shock imagery or dime-store fetish model on the front page?

i'm not particularly proud of acknowledging my deviantart membership with other artists i encounter thanks in part to garbage that makes it through the DD filter. there's genuine talent here (not myself, of course) that deserves recognition, or at least more attention than darkangeluzumaki89's latest watermarked, poorly lit and horribly composed masterwork of some chained-up dismembered angrogyne.
